Training of Trainers

A 5-day long Training of Trainers (TOT) for the Washroom Cleaning and Basic Maintenance course was conducted from 21st to 25th June 2016 at Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh.  26 participants registered and actively participated in this hands-on, comprehensive course which was conducted by Mr. Ramli Mahmood, one of the world’s preeminent experts, who flew in from Singapore specifically for the course.  The training covered theory and practice, with a focus on professional training techniques for washroom cleaning, maintenance and repair.

This TOT was customized to suit the requirements of the restroom design and products in India. All the modules had an 80% practical element to them, including practical onsite restroom inspection and auditing.

  • Daily cleaning of restrooms covered tools, equipment and chemicals for daily cleaning, daily cleaning tasks and practical on performing daily cleaning of restrooms.
  • Periodic cleaning of restrooms discussed periodic cleaning of washbasins and water traps, cubicles, ceilings and walls, window panels, window panels, lighting fixtures, wall fans, scrubbing of floor and other practices
  • Specialised cleaning of restrooms included the removal of toilet bowl scale, uric stone and urinal scale and included special practices on specialised cleaning techniques.
  • Minor repair work in restroom included tools and equipment used, clearing choking of toilet bowl and wash basin, fixing faulty fixtures and fittings and practical on minor repair works in restroom.

On successful completion of all modules and practical, participants were awarded an RB/Dettol co-branded certificate of completion. Many students have been identified as potential instructors for upcoming classes and others have stated their desire to enter the field of Restroom Cleaning and Maintenance as a full-fledged vocation.
