Singapore’s 50 Years of Sanitation

Our first Road Show Launched!

As our advocacy continues to grow in Singapore, WTO introduced its first community exhibition in April 2016. The field next to Jurong East MRT served as a vibrant location to showcase the history of sanitation to over 6000 heartland members. Through old photos and insights on our bucket systems, contaminated sewerage and waterways, senior members re-visited tough times in Singapore. With a focus on our success and excellence, we shared a sense of pride with developments in infrastructure, toilet standards and hygiene. Our toilet game was a hit amongst children and even the elderly, where learning about the global crisis was highly interactive.  An extremely positive vibe was received from parents and students who urged to do more in improving sanitation conditions worldwide. We would like to thank Unilever for supporting our efforts.
