Restroom Design Course (RDC)

Restrooms have been an integral part of our life since time immemorial. Irrespective of who we are, where we come from or what we do, they have also indirectly preserved and represented the requirements of our social and cultural values. The advent of technology and newer lifestyles changed our traditional outlook on restrooms. It's status has evolved from being associated with cold, unhygienic spaces which promoted vandalism, perversion and delinquency, to where we merely rush to relieve ourselves to today. They stand on the brink of being identified as a “space of functional creativity”.

Designers and managers have been fighting hard against the stigma that Restrooms carried in the past and are today trying to showcase to the world 'the creative potential that this space of limited area and fixed dimensions has to offer'

To bridge this gap between functionality and creativity, and cater to the needs of the industry WTC has come out with a unique, one of its kind design course that provides an excellent opportunity to assimilate the entire package in a nutshell.

Restroom Design Course is a certification course conducted by WTC, in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic and Singapore Institute of Architects. RDC equips participants with the finer points of designing an ergonomic public restroom as well as designing a restroom that ensures long term ease of maintenance.

Who should attend: Architects, Designers, Developers, Facilities Managers and Final/Pre Final year Architecture Students, Interior Designers, Building and Renovation Contractors

Duration: Three days
