The show titled: “The Toilet Men”, premiered in Singapore on 12th January 2008, featuring WTO’s approach in addressing the global sanitation crisis. It was filmed in Singapore, Beijing, New Delhi, and Tokyo.

Mayor Amy Khor represented Singapore in the first major World Conference devoted to toilet provision and standards ever held in Europe.

Signed Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with Singapore Polytechnic to conduct World Toilet College training programs.

Impact: Genesis of continuous massive scale global media coverage that legitimized the discussion of toilets and sanitation in the mainstream society. Minister of Environment Lim Swee Say subsequently granted a S$4million subsidy to renovate old coffee shop toilets.
